This class focuses on growing your Instagram audience and learning how to best leverage your following to grow your business.

Growth hacking and content strategy need to co-exist
These terms may be foreign to you, but we will break it all down! Growth hacking is attracting your ideal client to your page and content strategy is creating and distributing content that is designed to grow, engage, and monetize based on your ideal client. To successfully grow your business based on your social media platforms, growth hacking and content strategy need to work together. By reaching out and engaging with your ideal client, you will learn exactly what they are attracted to on Instagram. This insight will allow you to understand the type of content you should create to properly attract and engage your ideal client that hasn’t discovered your business yet.

Three types of meaningful content
Share your results!
Sharing your results with your following will help build trust with your audience and encourage potential clients. There are many ways that you can clarify results with your audience. One way is to ask previous clients to create testimonial videos to explain their experience working with you or using your product. Hearing directly from a previous client is a great way to create or build trust in your brand. Another way to share results is to reveal business wins (e.i. following count growth, sales milestones) and highlighting rave reviews. If you have DM’s from clients that are thanking you for your product/service, you can screenshot them and share them with your audience. If you do not have results yet because you are barely starting out or have not been able to reach your ideal client, offer your product/service for free to one or a few of your ideal clients, so you can share great results with the rest of your following. Seeing amazing reviews and results is a great way to gain and build your clientele.

- Traffic - people discovering your Instagram profile
Your ideal client can find your Instagram profile in a number of different ways. The easiest way for you to begin making your profile more accessible to your ideal client is to use hashtags that are relatable to your business, client, and brand. Consistently using the same hashtags will make your profile more visible to those who are following those hashtags and looking for products or brands that are similar to yours. - Impression - the impact you make on those who come to your profile
This is where content strategy is very important. If you have done your homework and understand what is important for your ideal client, then they will be attracted to your profile. Think of the many times that you have left an Instagram profile without deciding to follow them. You were not spoken to when you looked through their posts and did not identify with their content even if you were searching for a product like the one they were promoting. It is important to discover what is favorable to your ideal client and begin creating that content for them on your profile. - Conversion - gaining followers that become customers
This is the part that means the most to you and your business, gaining followers that become your clients. You get to this step by having content that relates to your ideal client which encourages them to become your follower. Even if they decide to follow your account, but don’t make a purchase immediately, the more you create content that they like, the more likely they are to convert to a client.

This relates to the “traffic” point of the 3-step system. This is the content you create to grow your audience. It is what you have discovered that your client finds attractive. - Content to sell
This relates to the “conversion” point of the 3-step system. This would consist of mainly product photos or BTS photos of you at work. For example, if you are a product based company, content to sell would consist of pictures of your products. If you are a service based company, share images or videos of your final products that you create for your clients. - Content to build your brand
This relates to the “impression” point of the 3-step system. This is the type of content that is going to keep your followers sticking around long after they have become your client. This type of content will also help you gain clients from those who have followed you, but have not yet converted to client. The more you build your brand with consistent content, the more your following will trust your business.
